I recently purchased a IWILL KK266 and had an old ATI All In Wonder 128 PCI card. I have installed the latest BIOS for the motherboard and the latest VIA 4 in 1 as well. Running windows 2000, on bootup the machine starts, and while in 256 color mode works for a while, but then freezes the entire machine. Booting in safe mode allows me to install the latest drivers but the stall repeats again. Every other PCI card I own works in this system. But I have tried turning all the features in the BIOS in reagards to PCI enchancing to disabled. I've also installed the latest versions of Directx and the Digital Video update as well.

The AIW card works fine in my ABIT motherboard, so I don't think it's the card. I haven't found any issue with documented in regards to the VIA chipset and the PCI card. Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking that the ACPI might have something to do with it, but was hoping that someone had another idea.

thanks!
