Help with PC/Xbox 360 headset needed

So I'm looking for a headset and I think I want to get a dual purpose Turtle Beach one. Instead of buying separate ones, it seems more cost efficient to do this. I was looking at the Ear Force DX11 and it looks like a good match. My only concern and question for you guys is - do these combo package (PC/Xbox compatible) headsets work just as good as devoted PC headsets like Razer, Steelseries, Logitech, Sennheiser, etc.? Will the quality be just as good? If so, is there another headset that you guys would recommend over the DX11?

I have the X11 and it makes a good set of headphones. I don't like using the mic with it because it has a microphone monitor function that echoes your voice into your ears.
