Help with passpharse reverse decript

So years ago, I encoded my wireless with a passphase, then remembered the wep hex key. But I just got a new wiresless adapter, and the software says "ascii" or passphrase" and I can't connect. Any ideas on how to reverse to get the passphrase ?

Nevermind. After a lot of googling, it said its impossible to go backwards. So I chose a new key, updated the router, and now I have to update all the other wireless in my house. What a POS USB adapter.

Yes, WPA2 is what you should be using these days.

WEP could be broken on a laptop CPU back in 2007 in under a minute with the appropriate tools.

WPA2 or WPA Personal with password of 8 characters or longer.

You do not have to remmeber a Key just the Password.

😎

My frontier router only supports WEP, Calling now to get a new router. (I have to use their router for my FIOS TV to work)

They say mine is not an "old" router, and they have to send a tech out to see. Idiots.
