Help with partitions.

when i first installed Win2K on my 30 GB WD harddrive i created one small and large partition. Recently i have tried to figure out how to get rid of the two partiotns so i can once again enjoy just one partition. I have already tried reformatting the HD but it just reformats into two separate partitions. I have tried to use the tools that came with the hardrive as well with no luck. I assume I am missing something really obvious here but maybe not. Can anyone help me?

Formatting does not create or delete partitions. Partition magic will do the job and, with some manipulation, allow you to save your OS and data. If you have a DOS boot disk you should be able to run Fdisk to delete both existing partitions and create just one primary partition.

i think i will try fdisk. i really do not want to buy a program that i will in all likelyhood use once or twice (that of course doesn't include all the crappy games i've bought in the past year though 😀 )
