Hello everyone; I've been hanging around in the shadows here for a while and have finally gotten around to posting something. My 6+ year old computer system finally died, and even though I'm strapped for cash (poor grad. student); I have to shell out for a new computer, before I planned to (thank goodness for credit cards, though the interest makes me cringe). After doing some rather quick research on Anandtech and other sites, here is what I've come up with:

Case/Mobo: Shuttle SN25P
Proc: A64 3000+ (Winchester core)
RAM: 1 GB (2x 512MB) OCZ Gold Value DDR400
Video: Gigabyte X800XL PCI-E (Silent pipe)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 NCQ 250GB
DVD: NEC 3520A
Key/Mouse: Logitech Cordless LX700 combo
Monitor: Hyundai/Imagequest L90D+

I was hoping I could get some information out there from anyone who has had experience with any of these components. Have they been good to you? Anything that you'd reccomend over them? Any quirks or conflicts they have, or horror stories from having to use them? Is there anything I'm missing? (It's been 6 years since I've built something, so I'm definately rusty)

I'll be using this sytem a lot for college-esque work, plus some MP3 encoding and DVD ripping/burning, and hopefully gaming. It's been a while since I've been able to game (Warcraft 3 was the last new game I was able to play) and I've got a lot of catching up to do (when college gives me some free time); with those tasks in mind any and all information/reccomendations will be appreciated. Thank you all in advance! 🙂

It looks like you took care of everything. The only thing is, I don?t know if that video card will fit or not. It should, but it?s better to be safe then sorry.
