Help with Panasonic 37" TV

I got this TV Panasonic 37" LCD X85 with 3 component jacks 2 HDMI, 2 S-video.

I m trying to connect with Component cables (blue, green, red)+ audio , a Magnavox DVD Player MVD455. I can't get audio and display, the only conection working is S-video (yellow and read+white)

The Magnavox DVD has the port for component (blue, green, red) plus S-video.. I wish I can have more time for testing but my with my little daughter is tough...

Return the tv and get one with functioning ports?

Some DVD players may have some kind of switch between outputs. Have you looked for that?

I will look for the switch, I went to Managvox site but I can't get the manual...

You may have to switch the output through the player's menu.
