Help with Paint.NET

Paint.net doesnt have a "clipart" function like Corel Draw, Visio or Word, so you cant insert any pre drawn borders. If you want a border, you will have to draw it your self. You can create a square centered in the page and the paint-fill in the outside sith a color or pattern.

Not that im aware of. These programs are not really meant for that kind of thing. What exactly are you trying to do?

I'm trying to put borders around the pictures that I take. Like the pictures in this photo thread

Those kinds of simple, solid color borders are called "Stroke" in Photoshop. Look in the Paint.NET options to see if they'll let you apply a stroke to a selection.

In Paint.NET, it's easy to make them. Simply use Image -> Canvas size, set the anchor to Middle and increase the height and width by few pixels.

Just remember to set secondary color to that you want the borders to be.

thats what i was going to suggest, its the exact same way i do it in Photoshop
