No it doesn't - they are completely different engines, not to mention that one runs under OpenGL while the other runs under Direct3D.

Are you sure, I thought for sure it used the SS engine.

edit: Looks like I was wrong. They use their own "PAIN" engine. I did, however, find others who thought they used the SS engine. Oh well. I love both games.

I'm not sure why they'd think that given the games are three years apart and use two different rendering APIs.

I guess because most of us are not in the know on APIs. :p
