Hey,

If you can offer me any advice on this issue I would be extremely grateful. I had a celeron running in my SD31P for awhile with no issues. Last night I installed a P4 631 processor. After I put it all back together I turn it on, the shuttle XPC logo loads with the proper processor graphic and goes nowhere. I able able to hit the delete key and it says going into setup but hangs. I can also hit tab to see the standard post screen but again it hangs after it identifies the processor, the amount of ram, then the processor again. I believe I am running the original bios but I can't see any info on shuttle's site saying the bios needs to be updated to support this cpu. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Michael Netting

Thats a Cedar Mill cpu, correct?
I would pop your previous Celeron back in there, and download/update the motherboard BIOS.
Very few motherboards will work out of the box with the new 65nm Cedar Mills.. without a BIOS update of course :)
