Hi all,
I ran Prime95 and it reported error after 1 min saying that hardware failure and rounding 0.5 err. What does this mean? What can I do to fix it? I use the computer for about 1 hr or more and nothing happen???? The system has nf7-s v2.0, ati 9800pro, mobile xp 2600+, slk-900 + thermaltake fan @4400rpm, temp is 35c idle, load about 46c. Settings are: 205fsb X 11 @1.6v, kingston hyperx pc3500 ram @2.5 3 3 8 @2.6v. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It just means that the system is unstable in prime95 at whatever clockspeed you have it at. It might not give you any trouble in normal opertion. I had a system o/c'd and it was prime95 unstable but it never really gave me real world trouble except occationally after several hours of playing 3D shooters....

Some HyperX isn't compatible with the NF7. Also it tends to like 2-3-3-7 or 11 timings. I'd run memtest 86 to check that out.
If you get errors try more vdimm.
It's either that or you need more vcore.

Have you ran prime95 with everything stock to see if it doesn't fail immediately also?

I'm leaning toward's what gamingphreek suggested there. Maybe your chip isn't stable past 200fsb and propably not stable with the voltage that low.

Run memtest86 to see if RAM is an issue (use google to find it). This was causing Prime95 crashes for me while everything else worked. Otherwise, add more voltage or get better cooling, as I can do 2.4 GHz with 3000 RPM but only 2.3 with 2000 RPM.

Thanks all. I pumped the voltage to 1.725 (actual) and it stable @ 218X11 vdim @2.9 with corsair. The kingston hyperx did not work well with this board????
What is the max vcore I can use safely under this cooling (slk-900 , tt @4500rpm, tem when running prime95 max was around 47c)? I would like to push it a little further!!!!!!!!
Any help is appreciated!!!!!!!!

thats about as far as its going to go, maybe sliiiightly more, but not much more at that load temp...

i have nf7-s/mobile 2600 too and around those temps, maybe a couple degrees higher, is when it loses stability even at otherwise stable settings

whats ur room/ambient temp? and your case temp? lower these temps and the cpu will drop significantly as well :)
