Ok so heres what happened so far. My bro in law bought basically the same computer parts that I have becuase He wasnted to over clock his like mine. we got his stuff and his processor did not work. so we switched it out to test mine in his and it ran fine at 11.5x200 vc1.65. So we sent his back.

Here is my problem when I put mine in again it whould not boot at 11.5x200 so I went to stock. then bumped it back to 11.5x200 booted fine. Ran prime and it failed in 1 min. So I thought that It was the theraml paste not enough on it from moving it around. Becuase at this time my tempetures were around 42C idle. when normally they are 33C. So I took off the heat sink (slk800U) and I lapped it since I had it off and I had some 2000 grit sand paper. Well now it still wont run prime and its even hotter. I am using the paste from thermalright came with the HS.

The funny thing about this is that my computer runs just fine no restarts or anything. Anothing thing is it probe my temps do not move. they stay at 48C for cpu and 27C for mb. The show lower in bios and move around.

Whats wrong with my computer?

Since no one was replying to my post I went and tried some things. I downloaded mbm 5 and it was saying the same temps so it was not probe. I I clear my DMI spool and bios and now probe is updating like it should and prime is running stable so far. but my temps are still high I may try turning my cpu fan so it sucks heat away from the hs rather then blow in. I thought lapping HS helps them out>?

what that mean too much paste or too little? I used a baggy to spread the paste I tried to smooth out the streaks so mabey there are thin area. Should there be enough paste so that you can not see the dark purple color of the core or is that too much?
