I built a new computer, amd64 3.7~2.4ghz san deigo, dfi lanpary ultra-d motherboard, and i have ocz ddr500 plat. I was wondering the best way to go about overclocking the cpu. I have the stock heatsink and fan at the moment. I am currently shopping for a water cooling system. Could someone please tell me the basics to overclocking this cpu/motherboard.....which bios setting to alter? I read the thread for amd64 overclocking, and im seeking advice for this particular motherboard.

i have ocz ddr500 plat.

thank you

Overclocking with this board is the same as any other mobo, just input as many settings as you know (change CPU multi, voltage, etc. from auto to the real value), and don't mess with things that you don't know about. (You can learn about the plethora of RAM settings on DFI-Street.com.) Just follow Zebo's A64 OC'ing guide, and you'll be fine.

your best bet is to read the sticky by zebo first so you can get a basic knowledge of how overclocking works and some terminology...

rise4310 was asking what bios revision you have... meaning 3-10, 4-14, 5-10, 6-15, 6-18, 6-23.... etc...

most likely you have the official 3-10... anyway...
