Help with OS x86 install...

😕

I'm a blatantly ignorant, unknowledgable noober when it comes to this. I work with things that work the way they're supposed to, in an efficient, easy to handle manner. The OS x86 iso has none of these qualities according to my reading...

Can someone anser these questions for me?

1.) Do i have to install on a clean drive, or can it be a partition?

2.) Installing... how?

3.) Do you know of any troubleshooting guides? (other than the wiki)

The x86 wiki was over my head in several instances...

Thanks for your time guys, I appreciate any help you can give.

Hmm, step #1: ask about illegal activities somewhere else.

step 2, when nothing makes absolutely no sense and you go to places to ask about said activities...you most likely shouldn't be messing with anything in the first place

If that wiki really was over your head in parts...I suggest not to bother as you might accidently delete your data. If you choose to be persistent about it though, this is a perfect opportunity for you to learn more about this stuff providing you have the time to read and understand

From what I read, you have to install OS x86 on another hard drive. You can't install it on a partiiton. Also, I think you need to download the live version of Ubuntu to install os x86. That is all I remember.

I can't remember where to find the instructions on how to install os x86

you can do it to a blank drive or to a partition .. i've done both.. and it's possible to dual boot osx/xp.. but if the wiki is above your head you are gonna get yourself in trouble.. i suggest going over the wiki and trying to work it out or else wait until there is an easier process. Once osx is installed you stil have to patch it for sse2 or 3.. then edit sound/network kext files to get that sutff working.. then you have to delete some kext files etc to have it running smoothly.. took me a day or two to get everything set up nicely.
