Hi, I just built a new computer and now I'd like to stress test it, but I couldn't find where to download the tools (googled but kept running into orthopedic etc etc).

Can someone tell me where to download orthos, and/or any other stress tests that might come in handy (like memory stress test, was it something prime? :)) for a newly built computer?

Thanks all

orthos

http://sp2004.fre3.com/beta/beta2.htm

For quadcore you can run 2 instances of orthos or run prime95 v25.6 which will detect all 4 cores.

run small fft to test cpu
run large fft to test ram
run blend to test both

another good cpu tester is occt

best mem stress tester is not a windows based memtester
http://www.memtest.org/

you can create a bootable iso
looping test #5 and #8 seem to be most beneficial for finding errors. I generally will loop #5 for 6 hours or so.

if you want a windows based tester you can use
