help with old Mobo

hello all .... kinda new @ this so pardon my ignorence .....I have an Asus A7V 133A mobo running Athlon 1400-C clocked @ 1425.... intrested in getting an XP 2400 but in order to do so have to update the bios ..... on the Asus web site it tells U that that with the new bios I can go up to XP 2100 or that is the latest Xp they have listed .... would I be able to install XP 2400 with the bios update ..... any help on this is appreciated

I always take the best and safest way to find out which is to call Asus tech support before laying out the cash. I never feel comfortable looking on their web site for a support list because you can't always tell when they updated it last. Don't bother emailing them as what you send goes on a one-way trip.

It seems that Asus does not give the A7V133 tbred support. This means Palimino cpu's only.
