Help with old MB

My wife uses an old computer with an Abit VH6-II MB. It recently started to have a static like click while turned on. It sounded like it was coming from the AGP video card. I exchanged it for a older AGP card,no change. I took the AGP card out an replaced it with an OLD PCI graphics card and the sataicy sound is gone.
Am I on the right track that the MB AGP slot is probably the problem? If so can I still get a MB for a Pentium 3 1GHZ. I'd just like to swap the MB out for right now , thats all the wife wants is to be able to surf the web.
Whats the best place to get an older MB and which would you recomend.
