Cable

ok, i have a7v motherboard. it is the version with the jumpers next to the ata cables. i first did what someone told me to do, which was up the v core voltage up to 1.85 and reboot and go into windows, then shut down. i put the voltage up to 1.85 but could not get even to a bios screen. i shut it off, turned it back on, went into bios, and the vcore voltage was at auto again. i got it at 1.80 and it booted into windows, i shut it off, and put the 5, 6 jumpers on, then put the 4 jumper from the 1-4 jumpers on to try and hit 650. no luck. it just beeps at me about it being too hot. someone please let me know what i am doing wrong. i pencilled in the l1 bridges really dark, and they are not touching each other. help me out fellow anandtech'rs!

Did you disable the jumperfree jumper on the corner of the board. That jumper and 5&6 have to be set a certain way for the multiplier to work. RTM (Read the manual) This is the first thing you should do before starting.
