Hi
I have a Asus K8V SE DLX with A64 with 3200+ and Corsair 1GB DDR 3200. I want to know how can I overlclock my system in astep by step without blwing away my cpu. Has anyone had anykind of issues OCing tis setup ?

Thanks

I have the same setup, except for ram, and I've gotten pretty good results. Stable at 2.5GHz@stock voltage. 51C load. I assume you have the newcastle core. The board does not have an agp/pci lock, so your pci and agp devices or HD may limit your ocing. I would start by just increaseing the fsb in small increments and testing the stability with programs like prime95. Also, since there is no agp/pci lock, I would also run 3dmark03 to test stability of the video card. The fsb is probably your biggest limit right now, otherwise you could try raising the vcore and/or decreasing the multiplier and increasing fsb even more. First tho I think it would be most beneficial to just increase fsb for now and test for stability. Make sure to monitor your temps with a monitoring program like Asus probe or mbm5. Good luck! And post any questions you have, there are sure to be people to help. Also post your ocing results.

also, you would likely need faster ram, such as pc3500 or higher. you should be ablet to get a higher overclock hten.

True, although he could just use ram dividers, and with the integrated memory controller, he will take less of a hit. Of course, the better scenario is better ram, but it's not as important as for intel systems.
