What would have a lower cpu temp?

1. Case door closed, high power overclocking cpu fan.
2. Case door open, quiet less powerful cpu fan.

I keep the the case door shut- but I noticed that opening it lowers the core temp ~5 degrees. I can keep oc'ing because the temp is lower. Would getting a better fan have the same impact? Right now I have an xp-90, as5, and a vantec stealth fan.

Trying to figure out if I should get a beefier cpu fan because core temp is holding back my oc. The new fan will have to "worth" ~5 dgrees.





 
were talking 60 mhz, thats not noticable for you, and will make you los 2-3 points in the cpu test in 3dmark06. So yeah, be happy with the 2880 OC. Dunno what you are oc-ing tho ...
