help with nvidia FX5500

I bought me a nvidia FX 5500 card last night to tie me over until next year when I'm going to get me a top of the line 512MB card.

I installed ST Armada, Armada 2 and Sim City4.

For some reason I'm getting all kinds of weird graphics problems in ST Armada. Everything else seems fine. Using latest patch and drivers. I'm seeing image tearing where the ships and other objects in the game stretch themselves all over the screen and lines appear between them when they are close together. Any idea if it is a bug in the game?

I hate to tell you but armada was one of the worst games ever written. I had the same problem on my geforce card, but when i went to ati it went away(for the most part). My roommate at the time had the same problem, but his never went away. I don't think it has anything really to do with the card.

problem is that the new nvidia drivers did something. one of the st sites said to use older drivers.

i played armada on a ti 4600 a few years ago with not problem. the only problem i ever had with the game is the sound.
