So I bought a ASUS agp 6800xt a while back, and it seemed to be working fine in the beginning. However, I started getting artifacts in certain games, and crashes to the desktop and the Windows error message in almost every single other game. I tried all kinds of different drivers, and even have reformated since then, but nothing seemed to help. I figured hrm, maybe the card is broken, so I RMA'd. However, they sent me back a "new" card (replacement according to the RMA), and I'm still getting crashes to the windows error message. When I use a FX5200 with the exact same drivers, I experience no crashes (running on lower settings obviously). The only other thing I've changed throughout alll this testing was adding 2 sticks of 512 ram and a hard drive, though I've had the problem before and after I did both. In addition, I checked to see if my memory was running at the right speed.(8-3-3, cas 3) Can anyone help me? Thanks,
