help with Norton IS 2002 and XP networking

running norton internet security 2002 on my XP machine, I have a mapped network drive to my laptop which I can only access when I disable norton, even though I have a rule in there to allow any inbound/outbound traffic on any port any protocol to the laptop's IP address.. I cant see anything in there that would block netbios traffic, WTF. this is unacceptable

edit- added the local network ip range to the completely excluded list and it seems to have fixed it.. hrm.. we'll see
