OKay,
I have put together the following:

asus cusl with PIII 700e
IBM 75 GXP 30 G harddrive (plus an old 8g fujitsu drive)
128MB crucial pc 133 CAS2 (plus an old 128MB PC100 sdram)
an old ATI 3D charger graphics card
soundblaster PCI64
32 speed EDIDE cd
yamaha CDRW 64 which is on a adaptec 2920 scsi controller
Win2000 with SP1

Basically everything is working, howevery the IBM drive seems to grind a great deal, and boot up is quite slow. ANy advice/ideas ?

Is there any problem in mixing the two different types of memory ?

ANy suggestions about how to get the sys running as smoothly and solidly as possible?

thanks

I'd be wary for the grinding on IBM though. when does it occur? and when you say boot up is slow, in what stage the slowless occur?

The problem is your memory will run at the slowest memory's bus speed. So you basically wasted your money on pc 133. Otherwise, sounds like an ok system.
