HELP WITH NEWER FAST ASUS MOTHERBOARD

I played with all the p3 boards but need help on the newer boards JUST BUILDING A NEW SYSTEM AND LOOKING AT THE ASUS P4C 800-E deluxe,Is this a good board to choose or is there a little faster board i can go with?,I want 800fsb and ddr up to 4gig support,i am going to use either 3.2 /3.4 intel processor,Any suggestions ?
 
This is an excellent board, one of the best socket 478 boards. Of course if you want PCI-E you need socket775 or A64 and nforce4.

I hope this is not for gaming. Right now it makes absolutely no sense to buy a P4 for gaming, AMD A64 is superior in every way: faster, cheaper, and even runs cooler.
 
Dave and Nick make good points. However if you are set on getting a P4 for whatever reason I can vouch for the P4C800-E Deluxe being a great board. I have been using mine for abit over a year now.

Having said that. Since you have such a great P3 that is so fast there is "No money for the future" I don't know why you would bother with a junky P4 😉
 
Why would you want a new motherboard anyway? Isn't your super rare 520E pentium III way faster anyway?

"I have several computers,Just a question if any one ever heard of one or seen one in operation on a P-3 Board,I have emailed Microsoft asking about this super fast processor a few years back and they told me it was a limited edition test run on these and are extremely rare and only made a few because they were to fast and would never sell 550/600/650/700/800/1 gig etc.thsi runs on 256cache and bumps into 512 cache when it needs it ,Very rare,I run this processor on a cuv4x board with only 128mb ram everything else stock and it runs just as fast as any p-4 i have seen,find some info if you like scan the web let me know if you find some thing,It will be rare if you do."
