Hi All, I was referred here by a mate who said this was the place to come when needing advice on a new system.
Rig will be used as Media Center, Processing Photo's (Photographer), and occasional gaming... i.e. Warcraft 3, Portal, Team Fortress 2 etc...
So basically I want something I can do my photo's on, record TV (dual tuner), share media to media extenders (PS3, 360), and play the odd game... System will need to be reliable as it will need to handle a lot of up time. New (quiet) case that will hold a good amount of HDD's also. A card reader would be quite handy too.
6gb RAM has served my quite well with my photo's as I've only really maxed it out once or twice working on BIG pano's
Out of my current system I would most likely keep my video card NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS
I will not need Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor etc.
I would like to keep the budget under $1000, and will be buying my part from Australia.
