Help with new Phone!

my cell phone recently died before I was eligible to upgrade my phone. So, to get a cheap phone, I used the upgrade option for my gf's phone (we have a family plan), thinking I could just put my old SIM card in it....NOT THE CASE. This new phone has a different kind of SIM card so I have to use it.

So, I now have a SIM card programmed to use her phone number, etc. Is there a way I can get it to switch to using my phone number, etc?

Thanks!

Whoa, I never knew there were different kinds of sim cards. Sounds like you maybe screwed, or just sell that phone and get a different one that will work with your sim card.

my old one is a 32k SIM card, the new one is a 64k "Smart Chip" SIM card. When I turn on the phone w/ the old card in it, it says to insert a valid sim card.

Well, it is a new phone, right? If so, it should have teh SIM card in there. All you do is notify your provider that your account has a replaced SIM card because of a new phone. They will make the switch for free.
