Hey I fried my MB and I need a good new one for $80 counting Shipping and Handling. My problem is I don't know which kind to get since I haven't had the time to research it fully. I'm in a bind with time due to work+school.

Any help would be awesome also the computer at home is old and bought in 2001. My graphics card is a PCI, but I don't think its PCI express. Please hlep if you can.

This is one I saw on Newegg

That motherboard has onboard video which is something I would avoid if at all possible. Since your computer is old as you say your graphics card would not be PCI-Express. However, you probably can do one of two things. 1) Disable the onboard video through the BIOS and use your old card or 2) Use the onboard video if it actually supplies better graphics than your current video card. I don't know anything about the quality of said onboard graphics.

ASUS makes good boards and there are plenty of people here that could steer you to what you need for an Intel mobo.

Speaking of need: What do you do with your computer? Also, can you tell us what Intel P4 chip you have?

The P4 is old 2 gig w/out HT. I believe its 478 socket. I'm using the PC at my brother's house since mine is toasted =/

I use this computer for leisure gaming. Nothing big and competitive. Too busy for all that. I just want an upgrade from the Dell stock MB that came with it and a boost in FSB and performance. Here is another board that is cheap tell your thoughts:

Either board will work fine. Hope you're not trying to install it in a Dell case.

That board has no AGP. I'd get something with AGP like this

I've always had great luck with Asus. There are other options out there too though, but that should be sufficient although a tad over your price range. this should also be sufficient for less.

Dell is a proprietary case. List your model number, or post a picture. You may have to do some splicing of wires, and check the Dell power supply. It may have different wiring. Could fry your new board the first time you use the power switch. I would either get a new case, or check ebay for an exact Dell replacement board.

Umm the fella at circuit city is installing it for free. Reason I only have $80 spending limit is because that is what the manager allotted me =/

Besides it is you basic run of the mill Dell Case and I can't get the case number since i'm at my brothers house.
