Help with new home network

Ok so recently we switched out the old network for a new one, the old one seems to still exist so I guess I could try getting the password for that and getting back on it. But for the time being I have no acess to that network, need to re-find teh password toget back on it. I'm supposed to be connected to the router directly by wire but only get on the new network by wifi for some reason, and without internet. I wrote down a bunch of details which I'm not sure the importance of. I'll edit them into my post a bit latter. Untill then just post away whatever you can think of which might be useful.

Edit: Ok here's the details. Wifi 54.0 MBPS. IPv4 and Ipv6 local connection. Network type "access point". Ralink 802.11n wifi LAN card. DHCP activated: No. IPv4 adress (I can put this up, but is it dangerous/risky?) IPv4 network mask (I can put this up, but is it dangerous/risky?). Following were blank "IPv4 standard gateway, Ipv4 DNS server, IPv4 WINS-server. NetBIOS over tcpip activated. local connection IPv6-adress and some other stuff (bunch of numbers, should I really put them up?). Standard gateway not given.

What exactly do you mean with "we switched out the old network for a new one"? New router? New modem? New Switch? New adapter in the PC?

Do you not have physical access to the old "network" that you can't remove/disable it?

Set DHCP to enabled. See what IP you get, and what your default gateway is.
