Help with network

We linked our two computers together in network by a wisecom hub. Both of the computers see each other and the network works fine. But, when we try to play games against each other, one of the computer never detects the network-cards and will only give the choice of a modem. Since we don't use our modem very often, we deleted it, but it still doesn't work. Anybody have any idea why??

What protocols do you have install on each PC? Some games require certain protocols like IPX or TCP/IP to work... maybe you got the right protocol installed on 1 machine but not the other?
