Help with Nero....

Hey guys. I have a Hi-Val 6x4x6 External USB CD-RW drive. I'm using Nero version 5.5. With the CD-RW disc it came with, I can multisession burn fine. I purchased a 5 pack of Memorex CD-RW. I set up a multisession session, and burned it, but when I put the CD in after it's done, it just sits there and doesn't recognize it. Any ideas on what's wrong? I'm tired of wasting good RW disks.

you got latest version of nero (5.5.10.0) ??? they have fixed countless things in the past few releases

I have version 5.5.3.2 bundled (it came with the burner).

definately get the new version, all you have to do is install the update while your registered copy is still installed and you dont even need your cd key. i had a bunch of problems with my TDK until i got the new version.

First, how am I supposed to update it? If the current version is 5.5.1, and mine is 5.5.3.2, how can I update it?

And secondly, i'm inclined to believe it's just the type of CD-RW disc used; like I said, it worked fine with the RW disc it came with.

Just download & install the latest version,this will update it.

Its probably the disks. I had a friend who had a plextor 8x burner and it choked on Memorex CD-RWs. He tried another brand and it was o.k.

I inherited the Memorex's and they worked fine in my Plextor 12x


edit: Maybe those disks would have burned in my buddies burner if he had done a Firmware or Nero upgrade.

wow that was an older release, this problem definitly was fixed after that,, get version 5.5.10.0

I instaleld it, and when I burned the disc it said "Error: CD not fixated". What the hell is wrong with this thing?

Well, I just burned one. It completed fine. Now i'm going to put it in and see if it recognizes it...
