Help with Nero 5.0 options please!

Hello,
I'm trying to create a VCD out of various mpgs that I have, they're of different formats and originally when I tried making the CD Nero said that they weren't the VCD standard mpg, so it asked me if I wished to disable the error message/check. The VCD didn't work properly (as expected), so now I'm wondering, how can I get the message check back so that I know if the mpg is valid or not?
