Ok i have been trying to figure this out for a long time now and it seems no one knows what it can be i got my PC all up and running and whats happening is that if i connect the DVI cable in nothing comes on the Montior. Now if i put a Adaptor on it so the analog and plug it in it works can anyone tell me why this is not working for DVI i have tried 2 PCI cards. Now i try the Montior on another PC and the DVI worked fine. Becuase i thought maybe it was my Monitor that died on me. Any help would be great.

Thanks

If the monitor your referring to is the one in your sig, that could be why. I remember someone saying that the VX2025WM has DVI signal issues. Anyone else know about this?

I know this is a popular monitor (VX2025WM) around here, and is recommended.

Is anyone having issues with the DVI input on theres?

Saw this posted in another forum. Give this a try!

I had the same problem, twice. The first time it happened to me 1 week after purchase and so I exchanged it. The second time was yesterday. I decided to call Viewsonic support and they gave me the solution to fix it:

1. With the computer on, plug in both DVI and VGA to the video card and the VX2025 monitor.
2. turn off computer
3. remove VGA connector
4. disconnect power to the monitor. Wait 5 seconds and then plug it back in.
5. restart PC.

One thing to point out with this abovve process, if you have a dual DVI graphics card, slap on a VGA to DVI adapter and the above process will still work.

For me, I run two monitors. After following the steps, I plugged the VGA to my 2nd monitor. Both monitors would show the POST screen but when I booted to Windows, the VX2025 did not have a signal. In the nvidia classic control panel, I had to set the VX2025 as the primary display and also Extend Desktop onto the monitors in order to get the VX2025 working in Windows again.

Did you plug in both cables at the same time?

Are you able to plug in a DVI cable and the VGA through the adaptor into the card and the monitor?
