Help with my new build... startup issue

So I just finished my first PC build.

Intel Core i5-2500k
ASUS P8P67 motherboard
G.skill ripjaws 8GB RAM
Galaxy GeForce 460 GTX video card
Antec 520EC PSU

So after everything was put together, I hooked up the PC to a monitor and start it up. The system powers up. All the fans start working, motherboard power indicators are on, and I can hear the HDD whirring and the fan on the video card is running.

However, I have no video signal to my monitor (the monitor power indicator remains in amber and does not turn to green as it usual should when it gets a video signal)
I also get no indicators on my keyboard.
I did not hear any beeps (although, in fairness I have not hooked up the motherboard to any external speaker since my case did not come with a speaker).

I'm freaking out and trying to troubleshoot. Can anyone help me?

Where could the problem be and how should I begin to troubleshoot? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

nstemi,

What RAM banks do you have the memory in? You should put two DDR3 modules in the blue sockets.

Did that. I had 2 x 4GB DDR3 G.skill ripjaws RAM pieces in DIMM slots A2 and B2 (which is what was indicated in the mobo manual)

I even replaced the video card and no change.
I removed one RAM and left a single RAM until I can troubleshoot in just slot A2.
I disconnected the HDD from the mobo.

Basically its just the Mobo connected to the ATX power from the PSU, with the video card in the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. Nothing else... and still I get nothing in the monitor when the system powers up.

How do I figure out whether there is an issue with the CPU vs the Mobo?

Made sure to plug in all power connectors? There should be the 20/24-pin and the 4/8 pin for the mobo and probably one PCIe power connector for the GTX460.

I would also try resetting BIOS.

If you have another graphics card, you could try that.

You could also reseat the cpu and check for any bent pins.

It's not going to work if you only have the ATX 24-pin connector plugged in. You also need the 4/8-pin ATX12V connector.
