Help with my DVD +/-RW Drive

For some reason the DVD reads the disks but freezes in my computer and won't run the programs autorun. I don't know what is wrong with it. Its a Sony Dru-710a drive. Any help?

Can someone plz help it won't stop doing it, and i can't get anything to play in the drive, it speeds up like its reading it but doesn't do anythign but lock everything else up.

NEVERMIND! I figured it out, i had the Hard drive on the Primary ATA Connector through the SATA cable, then i have the DVD RW on the Primary IDE Connector, conflicting each other, i put the DVD RW onto the Secondary drive, works alot better! heh

bad drive?

have you tried with different CDs/DVDs to see if its jut not a bad disk?

that was what i was thinking, man i'm so glad i got it resolved, it was driving me nuts!!
