help with my dell 600m ram issue

i just ordered a 600m 1.5 from dell on the last deals they had. I wanted more ram but decided to get it on my own to save some $. I looked at the specs of the 600m and it stated 266mhz pc2100 ram which is what i ordered from newegg BUT when i got my computer i got a 333mhz pc2700 stick in the laptop. Was this included cause that is what they had and it just clocked down to 266? dont want to open my 266 from newegg till i know it will work togeather.

Mine also came with a 333mhz stick. I can't figure out a way to make it run faster. Also, my 600m was really picky with memory and it didn't like the PNY memory that I bought. I finally ended up going with Crucial.

so..........does it need the 266 or 333? crucial speced out at 266, is that what you got from crucial?

Yeah, the stick I got from Crucial was 266. I'm not sure why Dell included a 333mhz stick since I can't find any setting to make it run at that speed...

Maybe that's all they had in stock and it's cheaper to use old stock than to order new stuff?
