I brought the retail athlonxp 1800+ yesterday and I am using the stock hsf

The temp is about 48 and 51 at full load

I tried to overclock my cpu to 140*11.5 to get 1600mhz, but 15minutes into counterstrike, the game crashed (with gunshot sound ecohing , perharps a soundcard bottleneck?)

I tried to reboot the comp, but the monitor was not getting any signal ( I can hear the machine boot, but the light on my monitor indicated that it was at rest mode, not power on mode. I didnt get any picture)

Then I turn the main power switch off and reboot the comp. STill didnt work so I replugged the monitor cable, which finally got me an image on the monitor. (the monitor finally turned on)

Can someone plesae help ? Is my video card too sensitive to high fsb ? (is only 140) The AGOGA is suppose to be a great overclcoker right ?

what type of ram are you using? I know sometimes ram at too high a speed causes freezing

It may be your gpu. I have only oerclocked my system using Gainward cards, purely because they have been selected to cope with system overclockers. Try another graphics card, whatever the make, to see whether it is your graphics card. Otherwise it is the ram, i suggest getting a ddr motherboard and ram combination, sdram may be the cause of this. Again try some other ram but if that doesnt work i suggest the previously mentioned upgrade or dont try to overclock using the fsb.

It's your ram. It can't take high(?) FSB. If you can, raise the voltage for the ram.
