I have a 6890A and while I was looking at Addtronics site I noticed they have a CPU fan/bracket that blows on the CPU and AGP slot. The problem is I have my HDD's on a slide out tray that is in the spot where the fan would go. Here is the question, the fan would have no intake as the case door has no hole in in this spot so it would just be blowing hot air at the "goods". I can move my HDD's but if this fan just blows hot air around would it be worth the money,it's only $15. Right now I have two fans in the front and two in the doors blowing out. I'm going to get the 6x6 that goes under the PS. The newer cases have a 9x9 under the PS. :(

So fan? Or no fan?

yes it would be worth it if you are very serious about a cool cpu. the "hot" air that you are talking about will be much cooler than the air around your cpu, so it will cool it down.

If you have good case ventilation and high quality CPU HSF, the case CPU bracket fan will have only minimum impact on the CPU cooling. It was designed for the older Pentium II which has passive heat sink.

I owned an Addtronics 6890A before upgrading to the 7890A. The 7890A comes with the fan bracket as standard. You may want to consider an upgrade if you still want it.

Thanks for the advice. ;) I have a Gorb on my processor so I figure I should be good to go. I was thinking about a new case but after just getting the CPU,RAmM and my geforce I figured I had better wait a while....
