Im not sure what is completely wrong, but i think it is my ide channels, not sure. when i run my computer, that i assembled, it turns on and everything, but one problem. When i put the windows cd in and change the boot sequence to the proper settings, and i start to copy the files, it says "cant find file ___"

usually .dll files. I had the computer up and running and it was working just fine, and then i turned it on again and windows locked me out, so i went to install it again, and everything started.

rig:AMD xp 2500 (was overclocked just a little, but cant remember, and i reset everything on my 3rd try)
-seagate barracuda 200 GB HD
-PNY nVIDIA GeForce FX5700LE V 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP
-MSI KT400A Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket A CPU, Model "KT4AV-L
-512 pc3200 PNY RAM
-simple 400 PSU

if you look in the newegg reviews for the motherboard i think thre was a guy who had same problem but he just got a asus, and compusa is mean, and wont let me switch, so i was wondering if i could just get a replacement board. If it is something else besides just a defective board, PLEASE help me!!1

I am almost 100 % sure its a memory problem msi mb's are very picky with memory , try another stick of memory and try it again, msi is known for these issues. Also if using a 512 mb chip take it out of the slot 1 and put into 2 and 3 see if it runs then.
