Help with mounting Power Supply (I know this sounds dumb)

As this is my first ever build I am unsure of which way to mount a new powersupply I got into a new case I bought. The powersupply is the Corsair 750W Modular PS. I've never had a PS that has had the fan not on the outside back of the PS. So I don't know which way to mount this PS. Should I mount it with the fan facing upwards towards the top of the case, or should I mount the PS with the fan facing downwards toward the mobo and cpu? I don't know if this matters or not, but the case I am mounting this PS is the Thermaltake Armor A30. If you see in this picture, there are parts of the top of the case where the PS mounts that are being blocked, so that is why I am unsure of how to mount the PS, fan side up with parts being blocked by the case, or fan side down towards the cpu.

Also with this case, I received one odd looking plastic thing called a spacer support. I have no idea where this goes and if it's even needed. Anyone have a clue what that is and what its used for? Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.

Hey Boomer,

I looked in the manual but I don't see how it shows to mount the fan side down. Why did you come to that conclusion?

edit...looking closely at the pics on the Thermaltake website, it probably doesn't matter much with that case which way you mount the PSU. The top of the case looks pretty open.

Ahh that makes sense. The reason I thought I don't see the fan opening in that pic is because the fan is on the back of the powersupply like the one I currently have in this system I am typing on. I figured that was the only fan there was, which would be on the back. I didn't realize by looking at that picture that there could be a fan still on the bottom. Thanks for your help Boomer.

Yea the top is pretty open. The top of the case also has its own fan. So which way would you mount it if you had to do it?

Yep. Me too. I don't like having the fan opening pointing so that something could potentially fall into it.
