Help with Mitsumi FA404M

Just about to start my new build and got one of these drives. Is the long cable a power cable or does it plug into a USB port on the mobo? It's got a power connector on the base and it has DATA - and DATA + on the long cable which suggests USB to me. Im guessing USB, but want to be sure before I fry something. There is no online documentation for this thing.
 
That's a USB flash card reader right? Does the cable in question look like a USB cable? Does it have the right end on it? If it looks like USB and smells like USB...

Of course that's the USB cable for the Flash Card reader section.

Too bad you didn't buy one of mine - a much better drive with all the docs and drivers on CD. Click the link in my sig and weep... Mine even has all the pins in the connector (except for the Key pin that's supposed to be missing). What does the Mitsumi have, maybe half of the 34 pins? Cheeeeap! Too bad, you probably can't return it w/o paying a restocking fee.

Well, by golly you can return it to the Egg within 30-days! Happy, happy - joy, joy! 😀 You did buy from the Egg, right?

I'm workin' hard to hold back the Duuuuuh. 😉 Sorry, couldn't do it.
