Help with Mirc and Identd

Recently I got Mirc and the script Lordz of Kaos. I can't seem to get connected though. Each time I try log in I get a message that says that I have been autokilled and I am banned from the server, its explanation of this is that there is no response from Identd and I need to install Identd. So I asked my friend about this and he gave me a zip file containing the program, I installed the program and set it up. The only problem is that I still get autokilled when I start up the program and I get the same message about the Mirc server receive no response from Identd. I suspect this is because of a Linksys router/firewall that I have on my system, but I'm not sure. If it is, could someone please tell me how to solve this problem by bypassing my firewall or something? If it is not, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me any other ideas that may solve the problem.
