help with minimizing windows in windows :)

i use a program called startup cpl to startup my programs when windows loads up...

my question is...

some of them startup w/o the program popping up on the screen while some others startup but with the program window displayed...

is there a command that i can add that'll make the program startup minimized in the taskbar?

Use a shortcut to start the program, rather than a direct reference to the executable. In the properties for the shortcut you can tell it to start minimized.

Why don't you just use the Startup folder?

Just use the frickin' startup folder. What's so wrong with that? You have all the shortcut properties available to you (including ones to start apps minimized), and you can (assuming you're on NT, 2000, or XP) customize the folder for each individual user.
