Help with microPC build (complete noob here!)

Within the next year or so I want to build a system capable of running Starcraft 2, Diablo III, and Spore maxed out. I want to build a micro PC (one of those cube looking PCs) for compact storage. The problem is I know next to nothing about these builds so I'm hoping you guys could help enlighten me.

How much can I expect to pay for a microPC build with a C2D, 8800GT (minimum), 2GB DDR2, and a 320GB HD? What are the disadvantages of having a microPC over a full tower? I built a quad core system last year but I ended up parting with it because I wasn't putting as much usage into it as I had wanted and plus it was just a pain to move.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated...thanks!

Everything will be different in 2009, ask us then.

In August 2008 you might want an Aspire X-QPack2 case, 500+ watt Seasonic or other good PSU, intel G45 chipset motherboard, intel E8400 CPU, 4 GB DDR2 800, ATI 4870 video card, WD 640 GB HD.

www.newegg.com for prices (for now, 2009 prices will be lower). You can't buy intel G45 motherboards until August, prices will probably be similar to G35 motherboards.

For carrying to LAN parties you might prefer this case to the QPack2, people say its handle is flimsy:
Thermaltake

Yeah, my budget is around $1000. I will most likely build January or a bit later in the spring depending on my need for a new system.
