Ok, I've got a Abit KG7-Raid / Athlon 1800+ combo. My memory is (shudder) some non-name brand crap that the local store sold me with the board. 512 megs of DDR ram. Upon installation I tried to up the memory speed. I was fine going from latency 3 to latency 2, but when I tried to speed the memory up using the standard options of normal / fast / turbo, ANYTHING other than the normal timing would immediatley lock the board.
In addition, in overclocking the FSB I can only get to 144 before the entire computer becomes unstable.
I've got to believe this is a ram issue. Does anyone else have this board who is unable to get it past the default memory settings? What SHOULD this board be able to overclock to? Thanks in advance guys.
