Help with making a Win2k bootable CD...

Ok I have a little problem.. I ripped a .sio image of Win2k pro to my harddrive... Ok, when I burn the image to a CD, and restart my PC, it wont autoboot... WinXP wont even let me install from the CD rom drive once it has loaded up, because its an older OS...

Ok, I am installing Win2k on a laptop that comes with NO OS previously installed.. So is the problem with XP? Since it seems to not want to allow Win2kpro to install at all... And would the CD boot right up on a formatted harddrive?

Or is there some other way I need to make a 2k bootable?

I also made a boot CD usin the methods at www.bootdisk.com.... STILL didn't autoboot...

Thats the same site where I got the instructions on a 2k bootable.. XP instructions wont work for 2k..

Any other help please?

lol, I already did that...

Im thinking the problem is XP will not allow the CD to autoboot.. Im thinking, if I do it on a formatted harddrive, it would work.. Thats really my question.
