Hey all, I was wondering if any of you could help me out with a little problem I have. I've had the cordless Logitech MX Duo for probably 10 months or so now and have never had a problem with it, but last night my keyboard started freaking out all of a sudden. It just typed a bunch of keys I didn't hit, and some of the keys were remapped, like the mute key is now the f-lock key, but not vice versa.

I figured maybe the batteries died, so I replaced them and it worked fine for like 30 seconds, then the same thing happened again. My mouse still works fine though. I went to the logitech site and followed some of their trouble shooting techniques, but nothing worked.

Is there a way I can contact logitech about this? I couldn't find an email link or phone number on their site. I really wanna get this worked out cause I love the keyboard and mouse.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hmmm that's a new one for me...

Have you tried getting the keyboard to use the secure mode? Maybe it's getting some funky interference or something.

Secure mode? How do yuo use that? I don't have my manual or the cd with me since I'm at college, so I really have no clue about stuff like that.

Once again, thanks for your help.

It probably wont work if it's already screwed up, and I don't know why it would help your problem, but it's the only thing you can try that comes to mind (that you haven't done already).

Go to the logitech itouch control program and under the "cordless" tab, there should be a "Secure..." button. You need to have the keyboard functioning though to get it to go to secure mode if I remember correctly. I haven't tried it on my mx duo set, but tired it on my older wireless logitech set.

Hmmm, I downloaded the iTouch available on logitechs website, but I didn't see a cordless tab. Maybe I need to install something from the cd.

I tried letting my keyboard sit for like an hour or so without batteries in it, thinking maybe it'll drain the capcitors or reset it or something, and after I plugged it back in it worked fine... for like2-3 minutes. After that, it went haywire again.

Argh, I wish I could just get this resolved. I want my keyboard back! BTW, has anyone found a way to contact Logitech? Like I said before, I couldn't find an email or phone unmber.... Maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough, I'm gonna go check again.

did you try this?

"You may be able to reset the keyboard and resolve the problem by clearing the keyboard capacitors. To do this, remove the batteries from the keyboard and type continuously on as many keys as possible for one to two minutes. This action should simulate touch-typing; you should not press and hold only some keys down."

When you had the batteries out

Press the little red button on the underside of your keyboard to setup/reestablish a connection to the base unit.

Yeah, I tried pressing keys while the batteries were out, but it didn't do anything. And when I press the little red button, it connects sometimes, then starts spazzing out again. Other times, the keyboard doesn't respond at all.

Bah, I'm gonna give logitech a call today and see what's wrong with it and if there's anything they can do about it.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
