Help with Linux and Pproxy

Senior member
I have been running a small proxy for rc5 for quite awhile. I'm trying to move this over to my linux machine. I have the pproxy running but it will not write the rc5 log file. I have set the directory permission but still not working. Does anyone have a clue what else I might look at?

Thanks

Not sure how to fix this except to try to run it as root...

might I suggest this as root in your pproxy dir:

screen ./proxyper

Then when it's running hit CTRL A, D it'll then run in the background and you can still get it to the foreground by running the command screen -r. I learned this little trick from SyZ a couple of days ago, and I've been in love with it ever since 😉

One other suggestion, make the thread title Help with linux, and pproxy. Or something like that... you'll get more correct help then 😎

I have it running as root now to test your theory. I am using a virtual terminal to keep an eye on it for now.

Hope it works!

I run my linux pproxy as root, can't see anything wrong with that really... but I'm sure the big guys will tell you I'm an idiot for doing it 😉

Well Two Face it did work now I need to try to run it without root.
Thanks for the assistance.🙂

New question:
Do you know how to merge files using linux? I would like to merge the log files to reproduce the true output.
