I've had the winfast2k card for a while now, but i've also not used it for a while since i had a TV in my room for a long time. I no longer do, so i decide to plug it back in my computer. Needless to say i've had a few formats since then, so i've lost all my software that was installed for it. And i also can't found my manual or cd's anymore that have drivers or TV software. I find the drivers pretty easily. Getting a 3rd party tv tuner program was a bit more hard, i finally settled on GotTVPVR, since it's free.
So i load up GotTVPVR, after i configure everything, and i get the video JUST FINE. However now i get NO SOUND. I don't get it. On the back of the computer i have, what i can only assume as a lineout to the linein of my mobo, and i get no sound at all. I have an nForce mobo so my sound is onboard. I've tried all possible combinations with the jacks on the tvtuner card and the jacks on my soundcard.
There's the silver, green, and blue (yes, highly technical speak i know) jacks on the tv card, and the green, blue, and pink jacks on my sound card. My speakers are connected via the green jack. So i try connecting the green jack from the tv card to the pink (what i assume is mic in) on my sound card. I get nothing. I've tried all the other permutations, even the ones that dont make sense, and it doesnt work. Any ideas?
In the Device Manager, i have the WinFast TV2000 XP WDM Audio capture, crossbar, tvtuner, and video capture drivers installed.
And no, my mic is not muted in my sound card.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm pretty sure i'm just doing something really simple, really wrong, but i just can't figure out what. And the TV does come in via coax from the cable jack.
