Help with Laptop Sizes / Compatiability

I have an HP Omnibook6000 laptop computer for my boss. He asked me to fix it, and the hard drive is crashed (as so it would appear). Blue screen of death, and auto reboots itself. I am attempting to replace the hard drive. I have the old hard drive out, and looking at websites to purchase a new one. The HP website states that the replacement can be 4200 or 5400 rpm @ ATA/100 with 2.5" hard drive. I have the caddy, and tend on reusing it. The old hard drive is a 10GB (AK100?) HitaCHI DK238A-10

? - the website I am looking at says that the laptop hard drive they sell is an ATA-6, but not sure what an ATA-6 is.

Here is what I intend on purchasing at this time:

TOSHIBA Super Slimline MK4025GAS (HDD2190) 40GB 4200 RPM Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
(limit 20 per customer)
Average Latency: 7.14ms
Average Seek Time: 12ms
Features: Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) motor drive
Form Factor: 2.5"
Interface: ATA-6
Manufacturer Warranty: 3 Years

Model #: HDD2190/MK4025GAS
Item #: N82E16822149014

Here are the specifications from the actual HP configuration tool:

30.0 GB ATA/100 4200 RPM 9.5mm 12MS 8MB

Is this harddrive acceptable ~ what am I missing for purchasing another harddrive for this laptop ~ just want to make sure that it will work prior to purchasing one. Any tips?

That 9.5mm is an important part.
Make sure that the drive you get is the right thickness. I had an old lappie that needed an 18mm! hdd, could i find one? not for reasonable dosh.

ATA6 if I am not mistaken is ATA133. [Means the theoretical maximum, and it is theoretical, throughput is 133MB/sec]
Also, depending on the age of the laptop, it may have trouble recognising drives above 8gig [not in your case], 32gig, 127gig[not in your case]
