Help with laptop frequent freeze

I apologize in advance if this is not a right place to post this question but I am totally lost and frustrated with frequent laptop freeze. I have no idea how do I go about with this thing.

My laptop is i3-330M processor with 8GB RAM, Windows 7 64-bit home edition OS. My default browser is Chrome, updated to latest stable build. The OS is also up-to-date.

Lately, for about 2 to 3 weeks now, I am noticing that during my regular surfing, at random, the laptop freezes and the only way is push the power button down and start

At EVERY instance, Chrome browser was running. When the laptop freezes, it virtually stops everything. At one instance, I was ripping audiobook CD using iTunes and it stopped the CD as well. I am pretty sure, it has something to do with Chrome and complete uninstallation and reinstallation can probably be the best solution. But before I do that, if Windows makes any kind of dumps that someone can check for me to confirm my suspicion with Chrome, or there is something else going on. I never had laptop freezing on me when Chrome was not running.

Any help in this regard is appreciated.
